Violent fox reported in Harford County
Health officials are warning Harford County residents about aggressive foxes. The Harford County Health Department has received multiple calls regarding aggressive foxes in the Barrington Community area near Patterson Mill Middle/High School. A fox recently attacked someone's dog. Health officials. It is not possible to confirm whether a fox is infected with rabies. Residents are reminded to protect themselves by using the following strategies: Always keep pets on a leash when going out for walks Pets must be up to date on rabies vaccinations Lids on trash cans and do not leave pet food outdoors. The Harford County Health Department received multiple calls regarding an aggressive fox in the area of the Barrington community near Patterson Mill Middle School/High School.
Health officials say the fox recently attacked someone's dog. It is not possible to confirm whether the fox is infected with rabies.
Residents are reminded to protect themselves using the following strategies:
- Always keep your pet on a leash when walking it
- Pets should be kept up to date on rabies vaccinations
- Keep trash cans covered and don't leave pet food outside
- Please do not feed, pet, or interact with wild animals in your neighborhood.
