RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — North Carolina has issued operator licenses to seven companies to host interactive sports betting.
The General Assembly approved a bill last year to legalize sports betting in the Tar Heel State.
The North Carolina Lottery Commission announced Thursday that it has issued the first round of licenses.
The seven sites licensed in North Carolina are:

- FBG Enterprises Opco, LLC (dba: Fanatics Sportsbook)

North Carolinians can begin preparing for their first day of sports betting by registering, setting up an account and making a deposit with one of the companies as of noon Friday.

- Bets can start from March 11th. Until then, there will be no legal sports betting in the state.
