AJ Brown appeared on a Philadelphia sports talk radio show on Friday to set the record straight about his future with the Eagles.
Since the Eagles' playoff loss, the wide receiver has been the subject of rumors about his unhappiness and desire to move on. Brown called into the 94WIP Afternoon Show with Ike Reese and Jack Fritz and revealed that he did not want to leave Philadelphia.
When asked by Reese, who played seven seasons with the Eagles, if he wanted to remain with the Eagles, Brown replied, “No problem.” “I want to be here. It's that simple. I love where I am. It's that easy. Next question.”
Brown had the best two seasons in receiving yards by a wide receiver in franchise history. The 26-year-old has 2,952 receiving yards, 194 receptions and 18 touchdowns since being traded from the Tennessee Titans in 2022.
Philadelphia media is really bad. It literally happens every day. Then fans should believe the BS. They'll say anything for views, so they really should start raising the prices on microphones and cameras. We don't even like us, so I can see why no one likes us. #RealityTV

Brown also mentioned the Eagles' late-season collapse. After starting the year 10-1, they lost five of their last six games, losing 32-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.
While speaking with Reese and Fritz, Brown denied that there was any rift in the locker room between the players, calling those types of rumors “total BS.”
“Yeah, the locker room is fine,” Brown said. “Like I said at the beginning of the season and after the season, the players just weren't performing. Like I said in interviews. The media was like, 'This is the culture.' I think he said that. It's because of culture. The culture didn’t prepare us for it,” and all that.
“I've never blamed a coach. I'm not the kind of person to blame a coach. I don't blame anyone. I'm a guy who looks in the mirror and goes to challenge everyone else. It's the players. We weren't doing that, and that's what was happening. ”
With the coaching staff in the spotlight for the team's slump in the second half of the season, Brown placed the blame on his players.
As for his relationship with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, Brown said it didn't affect what happened at the end of the season.
“You know, I think that's kind of disgusting. I'm not going to go into my relationship with him on the air,” Brown said. “But this is a complete no-no, you know what I'm saying. It was fine when I was on a six-game winning streak. It was only when we started losing that we started talking about it.'' Of course you see the friction from the coaches, the players, everyone. So, that's fine. ”
Brown signed a four-year, $100 million extension with $56.5 million guaranteed after being traded to the Eagles. He has two years left on his contract.
