State Education Department officials are working with Central Michigan University to hold a virtual job fair to recruit teachers.
In support of Goal 7 of Michigan's Top 10 Strategic Education Plan, which is to increase the number of certified teachers in shortage areas, the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) works with educational institutions to We have announced the dates for the 2024 Virtual Education Workforce Job Fair. Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO).
The 2024 Virtual Job Fair is open to educator employers and all individuals looking to work in the education field.
The first job fair will be held on Tuesday, March 19, in partnership with CMU to help Michigan continue to meet the demand of school districts looking for education professionals to fill vacancies. The 2nd Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, May 8th.
Both job fairs will use the Brazen virtual platform to increase access to individuals looking for education jobs in Michigan.
“From administrative assistants to teachers, principals to bus drivers, education staff must work together to serve students and their diverse needs,” said State Superintendent Dr. Michael F. Rice. Ta. “Students have the right to have qualified school staff available to teach, mentor, and guide their learning experiences. Job fairs help schools and districts place qualified staff in areas of need. That’s one way you can do it.”
