INDIANAPOLIS – Southeastern Career Center was recently recognized at Adult Education Day.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development and the Indiana Adult and Continuing Education Association recognized Hoosier adult learners and Indiana employers during a special ceremony at the Indiana State Capitol.
At the ceremony, 16 business partners were recognized for offering adult education classes to their employees. His employer recognized him for one or more of the following accomplishments:
- Provide wages for employees to attend adult education classes.
- Provide classroom space and computers or other technology to support students.
- Provide other classroom supplies and equipment.
- Funding the costs of paying teachers and instructors.and
- We offer permanent employment to workers who successfully complete the class.
SCC's adult education programs include CNA and welding classes. To enroll, you must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent, unless you are currently enrolled in an HSE program. Learn more about.

Adult education programs are managed by DWD and are present in all 92 counties in Indiana. Indiana ranks among the top states in the nation in multiple adult education categories.
