Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has so many hobbies these days that even his daughter doesn't know what he does for a living.
Zuckerberg recently took up a new hobby as a rancher and has added to the tech executive's growing list of extracurricular activities, including mixed martial arts, hydrofoiling and CrossFit.
And now his daughter is starting to wonder if he's a full-time rancher rather than the president of a multitrillion-dollar tech company with ambitions of building a vast virtual world.
“If you're like kids, like my daughters, it's kind of hard to understand what meth is, right?” Zuckerberg said on Friday's Morning Brew. He said this in an episode of The Daily. “This is a very abstract app, isn't it? You're like a young child. So my daughter thought I was a rancher for a while.”
Fortunately for Zuckerberg, his daughter has promised to support him in his life as a rancher. “She said, 'Okay, just like your dad, that's obviously what you're doing. Marks Meets is kind of not ready for prime time yet, but you. 'I'm really focused on that,''' he recalled her telling him.
With the moral support of his daughter, Zuckerberg aims to produce the highest quality meat in the world. Zuckerberg said he feeds his cows the “richest, most nutritious” feed he can think of: beer and macadamia nuts because he doesn't face the same constraints as a commercial cattle operation. Ta.
If all goes well, Zuckerberg said he and his family laugh about becoming a full-time rancher. “I always joke with Priscilla and her daughters now that I'm going to run Mark's Meats when I'm done with Meta.”
