Steph and Sabrina put on a show
If anything, Steph and Sabrina showed how far we've come since Battle of the Sexes. The grace both men had for each other was evident, as was the fact that they were the best marksmen in the building.Steph took it. champion belt, but Sabrina was hanging with the guy she (and everyone) called “the greatest ever.” Final score: 29-26. Steph: “Maybe we need to do this more often.”
Listen to Damian Lillard vs. Kaitlyn Clark next year.
Stephen Curry beat Sabrina by hitting 9 of his last 10 games and scoring 29 points. It was the most entertaining contest of the night.
Wow, Sabrina Ionescu starts with a 26 that includes the perfect rack to start shooting. She then gets a big hug from Steph. That was enough to tie her for a spot in the actual 3-point contest.
I wouldn't call this belt luxurious.
The NBA has a very big GOAT belt in store for the winner.
Sabrina and Steph in gunfight: “If I wasn't nervous, I wouldn't be human.''
Sabrina Ionescu said that even though she and Stephen Curry are friends, Steph booed her and tried to get in her head while they practiced together yesterday. “He wants to win,” she said of tonight's 3-point shootout between the two sides. “You wouldn't be human if you weren't nervous.'' She wants to show all girls that they can beat boys on the playground.

Damian Lillard became the first player to win consecutive 3-point contests since Jason Kapono in 2007-08. Peja Stojakovic (2002-2003), Jeff Hornacek (1998-2000), Mark Price (1993-94) and Craig Hodges (1990-91) also made back-to-back appearances. Larry Bird (1986-88) is the only player to win three straight.
Lillard got off to a strong start, missing his first four shots on the prize rack, but made the final shot to win his second consecutive title. He became the first consecutive champion since Jason Kapono in 2007 and 2008.
Lo and behold, Trae Young reached 24 points with the first four shots in the prize rack, but missed the last shot and missed Towns. Lillard needs 26 shots to win back-to-back titles.
Karl-Anthony Towns begins the final round at 24. It probably wasn't enough in the first round, but we'll see if it's enough in the final round.
When technology doesn't work
They ran something called Indy 5 between the Skills Challenge and 3 Point Contest. Basically, the LED court showed a undulating road with potholes that Benny the bull and Pierre the pelican had to avoid as they dribbled their way from one end to the other. However, in Benny the Bull's case it broke down and had to be redone twice. They somehow ended up on opposite sides of the floor at the same time. That was strange.
