Derek Hough is back on the dance floor after overcoming wife Hayley Erbert's health issues.
The “Dancing with the Stars” judges tour returns this spring for a limited time from April 16th to May 19th.
“I can't wait to get back on stage and give you all my energy and love. The music, the dancing, the lights, the costumes, the choreography…I'm so proud of it all and can't wait to share it with you! ” Hough, 38, captioned an Instagram post on Friday.
In December, Elbert was hospitalized, underwent an emergency craniectomy, and has since recovered. In an Instagram post, Hough opened up about his wife's health concerns and their upcoming struggles.

“Hailey has always inspired me with her will, strength, and resilience, and that has never been more true than in the last 48 hours,” Hough wrote at the time. “She is now on her long road to recovery.”
“Words cannot express how grateful we are for the support and love you all have given us,” he continued. “The kindness shown to us during this incredibly immense and life-changing time is immeasurable. The outpouring of offers of help has been so humbling and we are so grateful.”
Hough first shared about Erbert's health in a separate Instagram post, saying she was hospitalized for a “cephalohematoma.”
“At the end of last night's tour performance in Washington, D.C., my wife Hailey became disoriented and was taken to the hospital,” he said at the time. “She was diagnosed with a cephalohematoma due to a ruptured blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. Her condition is stable.”
The two met on “DWTS” and started dating in 2015. They announced their engagement in a joint post on Instagram on June 2, 2022.
Erbert danced on the series for seven seasons and four national tours, and Huff is the winningest professional in program history with a record-breaking six Mirrorball Trophy wins. He currently serves as a judge on the popular reality show dance competition alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. His sister, Julianne Hough, also a popular former professional dancer, co-hosted “DWTS” with comedian Alfonso Ribeiro.
