One person was killed and seven others were injured, including a police officer, in a shooting at CityPlace Doral, authorities said.
Miami-Dade Police Department Information Officer Alvaro Zabaleta said security officers intervened after an altercation at the Martini Bar at CityPlace Doral around 3:30 a.m.

Police said the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the security guard.
“There were cops everywhere,” rideshare driver Rob Abner told NBC6. “I'm a little worried because I come here a lot. It's personal to you.”
A video shared by Only in Dade showed multiple police officers at the scene with lights and sirens.
A Doral City employee was shot in the lower leg and taken to the hospital. He was reportedly one of two Doral officers who fired their weapons.
The perpetrator was shot dead on the spot.
Video taken by NBC6 shows a Doral police vehicle rushing to the emergency exit. When the patrol car pulled up, other officers could be seen trying to help the injured officer out of the back seat of the car.
The police officer has since been released from the hospital.

A total of six bystanders were also shot. Two women and four men were among them.
One man and one woman were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Video shows a medical helicopter arriving at the hospital early in the morning and transporting someone on a stretcher.
A man was also seen parked in the back seat of an ambulance with his hand covered in bandages.
The shooting occurred a year after Doral police conducted active shooter training aimed at preparing officers for these types of situations.
