Scholarship program and that there are 125 scholarships available.Deadline until
Scholarship applications are due by April 8, 2024.
To be eligible for the scholarship, nurses must:
- Local clinics, FQHCs, government agencies, nonprofit hospitals, or
Work in an organization or academia - Demonstrates interest and ability to incorporate what is learned into practice
- Work in rural and underserved areas as defined by health resources and providers.

People who live in rural areas are more likely to die from heart disease, cancer, and unintentional accidents.
There are fewer injuries, chronic lower respiratory diseases, and strokes than in urban areas. In fact, in 2019,
Mortality rates in rural America were 19% higher for men and 21% higher for women.

Despite the high death rate per capita in rural areas, there are few medical institutions.
